Main Article Content
We begin with this quote to emphasize the media-driven political scientist status that currently characterizes public opinion. Pablo Simón, professor of political science at the Carlos III University of Madrid and a specialist in party systems and electoral systems, completed his doctoral studies at the Pompeu Fabra University and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He has written for West European Politics, Publius, Political Studies, and South European Politics and Society journals. He is the editor of Politikon, a collective project with which he has also published The Broken Urn and The Invisible Wall, and a regular analyst for Spanish media outlets such as El País, La Sexta, Cadena Ser, and Radio Televisión Española[1].
[1] Politikon is the joint project of a group of independent academics and professionals who came together in 2010 to promote debates and policies based on knowledge from the social sciences. Politikon's objective is to examine reality from an analytical perspective and advance proposals for the progress of society. It is a meeting point for academia, the media, and citizens and a center for promoting public policies. Politikon, which is formally constituted as an association, is independent and nonpartisan and is not affiliated with any political, academic, business, or union organization (https://politikon.es/acerca-de/).
