This book by the Spanish historian and professor at The University of Alabama, Juan José Ponce Vásquez, integrates the extensive and well-curated collection of studies resulting from historical research published by Cambridge University Press, also called Cambridge Latin American Studies. A cohort of titles whose editorial coordination is in the hands of Matthew Restall and Kris Lane, widely recognized historians on Americanist topics, and whose editorial criteria leave no room for doubt about their relevance and historiographic quality.
