Luis Valdivia Rojas: The manager and Father of the Historia y Espacio magazine. A brief tribute in the celebration of the 45 years of this publication

Luis Valdivia Rojas was born in the coastal desert of Chile, in the port of Arica, to a family of railway workers in 1945. He completed his university studies in Santiago, graduating as a geographer from the University of Chile in 1973. He had a brief professional career at the Institute of Natural Resources (IREN). He arrived in Colombia in 1975, crossing the southern border when Alfonso López Michelsen was in charge of the nation, and ended up in Bogotá at the home of Professor Isabel Sánchez Méndez, who had been head of the History Department at the National University, knew Professor Germán Colmenares, and was the older sister of the television actor Pepe Sánchez.
