Abstract

This essay analyzes the philosophical influences of diverse origin that could have contributed to the ideological process of the Independence. It also explains the difference between the contact that could have the Creole leaders with the trends of the political thought and his application to the Spanish-American situation; of equal way, it underlines the weight of the religious catholic tradition on the leaders of the first republican stage.
