The reflections below are the result of concerns arising from the development of a research exercise on the economy of the Interior of Santa Marta during the 18th century and the early decades of the 19th. We will specifically cover track historiography works that have contributed to the study of the social sectors of Indians, blacks, mulattoes and zambos in the process of independence for the above-mentioned region.
